Social media management usually covers strategy, a content plan, creating and scheduling posts, replying to comments and messages, and regular reporting. Ad spend, including boosted posts, is paid separately and goes straight to Meta, LinkedIn or TikTok. The management fee depends on scope: mainly the number of platforms, how many posts and of what type, the share of video and who supplies the photos and footage. Published price lists of Slovak agencies run roughly from €290 to €1,500 a month.
Summary
- Social media management is more than posting: it includes strategy, planning, content creation, community care and reporting.
- A boosted post is an ad. You pay the platform for it, outside the management fee.
- The biggest price drivers are platforms, frequency, share of video, your material and response times.
- A contract should set scope, approvals, community rules, access and reporting.
- Judge success by enquiries and website visits, not follower count alone.
What does social media management include?
- Strategy. Who you're talking to, which platforms to use, tone of voice, main themes and the numbers that show whether it works.
- Content plan. Topics, formats and dates, usually a month ahead, so you can approve them.
- Post creation. Copy, graphics, photos, short videos and Reels.
- Scheduling. Facebook and Instagram posts can be scheduled in Meta Business Suite, and LinkedIn Page posts from one hour to three months ahead. TikTok Business Accounts have their own scheduler.
- Community. Replies to comments and messages. Meta Business Suite brings Facebook and Instagram comments and Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp messages into one inbox.
- Reporting. A monthly review: what worked, what didn't and what to change.
Boosting isn't on that list, because it's advertising. Instagram itself says boosting turns a post into an ad. LinkedIn bills boosted posts through a Campaign Manager ad account, not the Page, and TikTok offers Promote, an in-app advertising tool. Budget for boosting belongs on its own line.

Which platforms should your business be on?
Wherever your customers are. According to Eurostat, 61.9% of people in Slovakia aged 16 to 74 used social networks in 2025. Among 16 to 24-year-olds it was 93.4%, among 55 to 74-year-olds 33.9%.
Platform ad-tool data compiled by DataReportal show that advertisers could reach 59.7% of Slovak adults on Facebook in late 2025, 39.4% on Instagram and 25.9% on TikTok. LinkedIn reported 1.1 million registered members. Ad audience size doesn't necessarily match active users, and LinkedIn's figure isn't directly comparable with the others.
Businesses are more cautious. In 2025, 49.9% of Slovak businesses with 10 or more employees used at least one type of social media, against an EU average of 63.6% (Eurostat).
- A Facebook business Page has the widest audience of the four and suits local services, shops and events.
- Instagram for business pays off when you have something to show: products, premises, people or finished work.
- LinkedIn for business is the natural choice for B2B and recruitment.
- TikTok for business makes sense if you can film short videos regularly.
What drives the price of social media management?
Every business needs a different scope, so a single price doesn't make sense. The main factors:
- Platforms. One LinkedIn Page is different work from four platforms at once. Each has its own formats, so a post can't simply be copied across.
- Frequency. How many posts, Stories and videos a month.
- Share of video. Short videos and Reels need an idea, filming and editing, so they take longer than an image or carousel.
- Your material. Do you have your own photos and footage, or does someone need to shoot them?
- Community care. How fast to reply, whether weekends are included and who handles complaints.
- Approvals. How many review rounds, and how many people on your side sign off.
- Languages. Slovak, English or both.
- Your sector. Healthcare or finance need more checks.
- Reporting depth. A summary from platform analytics is less work than a report tied to your website and enquiries.
- Ad management. Setting up and optimising campaigns is separate work, and ad spend is another line again. We handle it under Paid media.
How much does social media management cost in Slovakia, by published price lists?
We went through the price lists Slovak agencies and freelancers publish on their own websites (checked on 22 October 2026). These are their own prices, mostly "from" figures, and each package covers a different scope. None of them includes ad spend.
| Provider | Price | What they state |
|---|---|---|
| Reborn Creative | from €290 a month excl. VAT | monthly plan, 8 to 12 posts, scheduling, replies to comments and messages |
| WooAcademy | €420 to €1,500 a month | ad spend separate, from €300 a month by their figure |
| VV Marketing | packages from €450 a month | scope depends on the package |
| Dobrý marketing | from €30 an hour | hourly rate |
| Truestudio | €80 to €3,000+ a month | €80 to €200 for 1 to 2 platforms with template graphics, €300 to €600 for 2 platforms with custom graphics and a report, €600 to €1,200 for 3 platforms with Reels and strategy |
The gap between €80 and €1,500 a month is not just price. Cheaper packages tend to cover fewer platforms and posts, template graphics and no strategy or community work. When you compare, ask for the same scope, not just the total.
In-house, freelancer or agency?
| Option | Strength | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| In-house | Knows the business and is there when something needs filming. | One person rarely covers strategy, design, video and ads. Work stops during leave. |
| Freelancer | Flexible, often strong in one area. | With several freelancers, you do the coordinating. Agree on cover. |
| Agency | Several skills in one team, plus cover. | Needs time to learn your business, and needs material and quick feedback from you. |
A mix often works: someone in-house films and answers specialist questions, and an external team plans, creates and reports.
What should a contract or brief define?
- Scope: platforms, and the number and type of posts, Stories and videos a month.
- Material: who shoots photos and video, and by when.
- Approvals: deadlines, number of rounds and who has the final say.
- Community: response times, weekends and what comes straight to you, such as complaints.
- Access: profiles belong to your business. In Meta Business Suite you can add an agency as a partner with access to your Page, Instagram account or ad account. Access can be full or partial, and even with full control a partner can't share those assets with another business. On LinkedIn, a content admin or analyst role is enough.
- Ads: budget kept separate, whose name the ad account is in and who pays it.
- Reporting: which metrics, how often and in what format.
- AI: what it may be used for and who checks the output. TikTok, for example, requires labels on AI-generated content with realistic images, audio or video.
- Exit: notice period and handover of material and plans.
How do you judge social media results?
Every platform has free analytics:
- Instagram: insights for public accounts show views, viewers, interactions (likes, comments, saves, shares), accounts engaged and new followers, for up to the past 90 days.
- Facebook and Instagram in Meta Business Suite: a 28-day overview with views and follows, results including link clicks, audience data and a benchmark against similar businesses.
- LinkedIn: Page analytics cover content, followers, visitors and competitors. For posts you'll see impressions, members reached, clicks, CTR and engagement rate.
- TikTok: a Business Account shows reach, engagement, conversion and follower data for 7, 28 or 60 days, or a custom range.
Platform analytics won't tell you whether you won a customer. Tag links to your website with UTM parameters. Google recommends one unique source per platform, so Google Analytics can separate Instagram visits from Facebook ones. Count enquiries, messages or bookings as results. Engagement and followers are only the route there.
When should you post on Instagram?
Neither Meta nor Instagram gives one best time for everyone in the documentation we reviewed. Instagram ranks content using thousands of signals, and when a post was shared is only one of them.
Your own data shows your best time. Once you have at least 100 followers, Instagram insights show when your followers are most active. When you schedule in Meta Business Suite, it recommends times based on follower activity over the past seven days.
Frequently asked questions
How much does social media management cost?
By the published price lists of Slovak agencies and freelancers we checked on 22 October 2026, usually €290 to €1,500 a month, and less for a small scope with template graphics. The price depends on platforms, number and type of posts, your material and community care. Ask for a proposal that sets out the scope in writing and lists ad spend separately.
Is there a standard price list for social media management?
No, the price follows the scope. If you compare price lists, compare like for like: number and type of posts, share of video, community care, reporting and who supplies the material.
Is advertising included in the management fee?
Usually not. A boosted post is an ad you pay the platform for directly, on LinkedIn for example through an ad account.
How often should we post?
As often as you can keep the quality up. LinkedIn links posting at a regular cadence with greater reach, but none of the platforms we reviewed gives one number for every business.
Do we have to give the agency our passwords?
No. On Facebook and Instagram you give partner access, on LinkedIn an admin role. Your business keeps ownership of its profiles.
