Identity
A logo alone, a full identity or a brand manual too. New brand or rebrand. Number of concepts and revision rounds.
Before It Was Cool is a marketing agency doing graphic design for businesses across Slovakia: logo and brand identity, digital graphics and print. Three separate services, one visual language.
Intro call: 30 minutes, online, no obligation.
01 / 03
Identity is more than a logo. It is the system that makes you look the same on your website, your invoices and your shop sign.
You get the logo in colour, black-and-white and reversed versions, in web and print formats (SVG, PDF, PNG), with source files. For a rebrand, we first work out what is worth keeping.
02 / 03
Graphics for everywhere people see you on a screen.
Where it makes sense, we build templates your team can edit. Post and campaign graphics tie in with social media management and PPC advertising.
03 / 03
We design print for paper, not for a screen, with the format, stock and printing method in mind.
We check every file before handover and advise on paper, binding and finishes.
Logo design is creating the mark people recognise you by: a symbol, custom lettering or both, in files for screen and paper.
Social media graphics are the visuals for posts, Stories, profile cover images and ads on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok.
Print design is preparing materials for paper, from a business card or flyer to a catalogue or roll-up.
Not sure where to start? Pick what we should look at and send us your web address. We'll email you a short written report on what would help your marketing most.
Put your web address in the message field of the form. The diagnostic is prepared by whichever Before It Was Cool founder owns your area. It is not a detailed audit, which is part of paid work, and after the diagnostic you are under no obligation to go further.
Work starts from €500 and our hourly rate is €100. We price by scope. The main factors:
A logo alone, a full identity or a brand manual too. New brand or rebrand. Number of concepts and revision rounds.
Number of formats and sizes. One-off graphics or reusable templates.
Page count, amount of text, language versions, photo retouching and the printer's requirements.
A rush job means moving other work, and that shows in the price.
You get the price and scope in writing before we start.
It depends on scope: a logo alone or a full identity with a brand manual, a new brand or a rebrand, and the number of concepts and revision rounds. After the intro call you get a written proposal.
We agree a visual direction with you before designing, then refine the designs in the agreed rounds. If the brief changes, we tell you first what that means for price and timing.
Yes. Once you have paid, you get the source files and a licence to use the logo on the terms in the contract. Planning to register it as a trade mark? Check that it is possible before you choose the final design.
For testing an idea quickly, yes. A logo you will use for years has to be distinctive, come with clear rights, and work small, in one colour and in print. Our final logos are designed by Samuel, our designer, who has worked in design and marketing since 2016.
Logo design at Before It Was Cool starts with an intro call about your business, customers and competitors. You then get a written scope with a deadline and the number of revision rounds, we agree a visual direction together, and only then do we draw. We refine the designs in the agreed rounds, and once you have paid you get the logo in every version and format, with the source files.
Before It Was Cool gives you the deadline in writing, with the scope and price, before we start. It depends on whether you need a logo alone or a full identity with a brand manual, on the number of concepts and revision rounds, and on how quickly you give feedback. A rush job is possible, but it means moving other work and that shows in the price.
Before designing a logo or identity, Before It Was Cool needs a few lines about your business: what you do, for whom, what sets you apart and where the logo will be used (website, social media, print, signage). For a rebrand, your current logo and materials too, so we can work out what is worth keeping. For print, the copy, photos and your printer's requirements.
Brand identity from Before It Was Cool is for new businesses that do not have a logo yet, and for established companies starting something new or in need of a rebrand. It makes sense wherever people see you in several places at once, on your website, social media, invoices and shop sign, and you want to look the same everywhere.
When choosing a logo designer, ask whether you get the source files and vector formats (SVG, PDF), who will own the logo and on what terms, whether the design is original rather than a recoloured template, and whether revision rounds are agreed in the price. At Before It Was Cool you get the source files and a licence once you have paid, original work made for you, and the scope, deadline and number of revision rounds in writing up front.

All articlesBranding is more than a logo. What it covers, how it helps a small business get recognised and trusted, when you need it and how to start small.
What brand guidelines should include: logo versions, colours in RGB, CMYK and Pantone, type, tone of voice and files. A chapter plan and a one-page template.
Logo, brand identity or brand manual? What a logo project should deliver, what drives the price, where AI logo makers fall short and how trade marks work.
A few lines are enough: what, for whom and by when. Not sure if you need a logo, a full identity or just print? We'll help you work it out.
We work across Slovakia, online and in person by arrangement.
